Soybean Processing

Currently capable of processing 20,000 bushels of soybeans per week, Fabin Bros. Farms' soybean processing facility is used to process soybeans into two separate value-added products: partially degummed raw crude soybean oil and Express meal. The plant receives soybeans from growers within a 150-mile radius of Indiana, Pa., and we ship these products as far as 500 miles.

After cleaning to remove any dirt or debris, the soybeans are run through a chemical-free process that uses both thermal and mechanical methods to naturally convert the beans into Express meal and oil. The all-natural process of mechanical extraction carefully controls the cooking temperature of the soybeans for optimum nutrient availability.
